I made a fresh batch of playdough the other day, this one has a summer feel to it. :)
Using my tried and true playdough recipe, I split this batch into two and added some food coloring and yummy smelling extracts (coconut and banana).
As soon as I had the dough colored and scented James wasted no time and plunged right into our big bucket o' cutters!

I love your play-doh recipe! Coconut and Banana sounds interesting! I think I would love the coconut--reminds me of suntan lotion and the beach :) I think I'm going to make space play-doh to go with our theme this week!
ReplyDeleteooh, love the colors of these and i love the idea of using coconut and banana extracts to scent the play dough. Do you just use regular food grade extracts or are they special in some way? We've made a couple of batches of dough using your recipe and they turned out great...and have lasted months in a zipper bag.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your great ideas.
it looks so beautiful I need to try it. I always used ready play doug need to make it myself. :)
ReplyDeleteMaking some of this today! May have to get some of those gel food colors, because they make it so pretty! And some fun extracts!
ReplyDeleteThis is super cute! I love the idea of added scents, too! We made koolaid play-doh this week and that was fun too! Sometimes we sit down as a whole family for "play-doh night" :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I have the exact same cookie cutters stored in the exact same bin. I love those!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you were able to bring out! The combo is beautiful!
