The Knitted Hat...

is finished! I am absolutely shocked that it a) actually looks like a hat, b) actually fits James' big melon, and c) actually took me very little time to knit!
So, we had a little photoshoot yesterday. You know those times when you have to snap like 20 shots so you'll hopefully get just ONE good pic? Well I was pleasantly surprised to see several cute pics in the bunch. Well, at least I think they're cute - although, I am a bit biased.

(i.e. the knitting AND the kid)::
An excellent example of the classic "mommy/camera obsession", no?

What does James think of his pretty, warm, basket weaved, homemade with love hat?

Pfffft. A BIG thumbs down. :(

He wore it for about... 3 minutes I'd say and then he politely handed it to me and said, "I don't yike it!" Sigh.

Am I a horrible mother if I MAKE him wear it?! (don't answer that) Fortunately, the hat fits me, too! So it's mine now. No way I'm letting all that work go to waste!!

  12. That hat is very nicely done. Wish I could knit. Oh, well. If my daughter hadn't liked the hat I wouldn't have been able to get any pictures of her in it. You were lucky there. Great that it fits you!

In response to your question on my blog, I do not have any certification or training in Montessori, besides the on the job training I received. When I started there only a couple of people were Montessori trained. I always wanted to get some more official training, but couldn't afford it. How are you getting your training?

  18. Hi, I am looking through your old knitting posts because I am finally getting the courage to do something more than a square, ha! Anyway, looking at your pic in this one, are you from Minnesota? That is where I live, small world :) I have been following you for a little over a year and when I decided to do some baby knits I remembered that you had done some cute ones last year. I love your blog! Thank you for sharing with us!
