I am very pleased to introduce you all to this wonderful online store called Storytelling Fun! The lovely owner of this store, Angela, has created a place where we can purchase felt boards and story sets to accompany many of our favorite books, songs and nursery rhymes. Here are just a few examples of the MANY story sets she has to offer...
You'll also find some really great educational and religious sets at Storytelling Fun. Not only are the products cute and well made they are very reasonably priced with most sets under $10!
We LOVE our story sets and felt board. James carries it with him around the house and can be heard telling stories to our cats and his favorite teddy bear. :)
Angela and I are joining forces to gift one of you a story set of your choice (of a $10 value) AND an awesome mini travel felt board! Here's what you need to do for a chance to win...

Well, something funny, huh? When I came home from work today, my 5-year-old boy and 2-year-old girl had been playing outside. They had the hose, put some water in the kiddie pool, and were ducking the tops of their heads into the water! It was quite funny - especially since they thought of it on their own! Maybe you had to be there to get the full effect! ;-)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the zoo friends set. My daughter would really enjoy this one.
ReplyDeleteSomething funny...I came home from three hours of shopping today and the babysitter seemed a bit frazzled and my 2.5 year old was naked. Apparently while having outside time my daughter took a flower put full of dirt and dumped it over her head! The sitter had to give her a bath. No real harm done but I am not the sitter will be coming back!!
ReplyDeleteI love them all and having trouble deciding between the Caps for Sale set and the Goodnight Moon set...but I'll go with the Goodnight Moon set as my fav! P.S. I'm still in the US. : )

ReplyDeleteOkay, last week we were at a conference and stayed with a host family. They had a son about my son's age, and they shared a room while we were there--my son on the cot and the other boy on his own bed. The last night there, the boys switched beds (unknown to me). I wanted to give Isaac a kiss goodnight, so I went in the already dark room. I reached down and kissed Isaac and said goodnight, fluffing his hair a bit...the goodnight I got back was not my son! I kissed the wrong child, and they all thought it was very, very funny. I was pretty embarrassed. : )
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie but I also love the Eric Carle books. Hard to choose!

Funny story, might be TMI but...after listening to lots of music one day, my daughter is sitting on the potty (makes me sit with her)and starts saying "yes Lord" in this grunting voice as she is working on a BM! Sooooo funny (to us at least)

ReplyDeletesomething funny...something funny?? ummmm B has to pick a storybook character to dress up as at preschool and today he decided that he wants to be Hooper Humperdink (from the dr. seuss book). First of all, nobody is going to know who that is or what his costume is. lol So dorky! =)

ReplyDeleteI also subscribe to your blog.
ReplyDeleteSo here is something funny for you. Remember - you gave us the geography game in the pretty green bag. Anna's favorite part is the string that she somehow pulled out of the bag. She just loves including it in so many of her pretend games - she enjoys having "her own rope". She does keep geography game nicely stacked inside of the original bag.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back to posting! I LIKEd CC on Facebook.

ReplyDeleteThe the doll dress up set, the 4 kids would love these.
ReplyDeleteSomething funny my kiddos did...well, my son who just turned 3 yesterday is always surrounded by little girls (his sister who is 20 months) and our whole playgroup is also girls. He is a very boyish boy and likes backhoes and garbage trucks, etc, but the girls all call him "Prince Philip" from Sleeping Beauty and want to play dress-ups all the time. The other day at playdate, one of the girls ordered him in a very non-princesslike gruff voice, "Lucas, come over here and give me the kiss of true love!" It was pretty hilarious! Jenny
ReplyDeleteFunny? When my daughter is asked what she would like to be for halloween, she tells people "dorky, the lady with the hook or a wench." When they stare at me in disbelief I have to explain she means Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz (which she has never seen but the lure of those red sparkly shoes), little bo peep (cuz her baby sis is going to be a lamb and she has decided she will use the shepard's hook keep her from getting lost) or a witch.
ReplyDeleteI loved everyhing, but my favorite was the "Monkeys Jumping on the Bed Set"!
ReplyDeleteThese look so cool. When I went to the site I loved the educational set. It had so much included. What a great value. I also love the construction set, as well as the 5 little speckled frog set.

ReplyDeleteFor something funny: Monkey and I were at the car, and I found an old water bottle. So I was pouring out the water from the bottle next to the car. Monkey asked "What's that noise" I wasn't sure what he was talking about so I said "I don't know". He said "mom, I think you peed in your pants"

ReplyDeleteSomething funny.....@ 5am this morning, my husband took our 3 yr old back to his room to get some more sleep (he has nightmares and usually ends up in a little bed we made up for him in the corner of our room). My husband and I decided to lay on the floor in his room until he went back to sleep. I put my pillow down (apparently on a toy) and went to lay on it when I hear a LOUD buzz Lightyear say "STOP, alien imposter! I will blast you with my laser!"....huh - I's rather sleep in my own bed anyway, Buzz!!
ReplyDeleteI like Jonah and the Whale.
