Paperclip Bookmarks

I found the idea for these bookmarks on Pinterest (looove Pinterest). Using leftover fibers from my scrappin' days, and some jumbo paperclips I found at the local dollar store, I made some of my own. They cost all of $2.50 to make. I just love these. They are beauty, whimsy, and madness all in one! Ha!

And they make school time a bit more enjoyable for me, too. :) I made quite a few of them and use them to bookmark our workbooks, readers, read-alouds (pretty much anything I can find!).

You can see just how jumbo these puppies really are - here they are compared to a regular size paper clip. Fun, huh?!

The Fine Print: I'm going to guess you too can find these jumbo clips at a dollar store near you, but for those who can't, I'd like to gift a set of 6 jumbo clips (ribbons not included) to one of you! Just leave a comment and I'll pick someone at random on Monday (Feb. 6) morning. Holla if you love freebies!! :)

so cute!!! I pinned these too; they'd be fun for my books as well as my oldest's books (since he's just moving into little chapter books)! Thanks for offering a set out to one of us readers.

SOO glad to see you back! I only recently found your blog... around the time you took your hiatus, but I've been loving all the ideas and have used several!

And the clips are a great idea! Would love to win! :)

What fun! They do look great when all the books are piled together and you see all of the ribbons together. Pinterest is a major time-suck, but has SO MANY neat ideas. :-)

Those are adorable! I'd love to make some! I'm never happy with my bookmarks - they fall out, get lost, etc. I always end up dog ear-ing the page... which isn't good when they are borrowed books!

I bought regular sized colored paperclips to do this project but never got around to it. I have 11 little girls sleeping over tonight so I am going to make this one of their projects! Thanks for the good timing :) Jumbo paper clips would be awesome.

I was going to leave a comment saying MY FATHER'S DRAGON!! We checked it out from the library so many times we decided to buy it.

Then I saw the fine print - freebies are always good :)
