Bean Bags

I've been in a really crafty mood lately, so I decided to whip up a few bean bags for James to play and learn with. Well, they were so easy to make that a few turned into 18!

I made matching pairs for each color/pattern. I was going to give them to James for Christmas, but I couldn't wait. We are having so much fun with them! We throw them, match them, play catch, hit them with rhythm sticks, play hide and seek with them - there is so much you can do!

I love the new blog! You have so many great posts and great ideas for making learning time more fun for toddlers! I will check back often and "borrow" some of your ideas as Luke gets older, I hope you don't mind?:)

I absolutely LOVE the playroom! Your son is so lucky.

Jen, I promise you they were really, really easy to make and again, they were one of those things I did while watching TV one night!
Tilly, thanks for your nice comment - of course you can "borrow" :) my ideas. Please just link back to me in your post. :)

Mari-Ann what did you use to fill the bean bags? How are they holding up to our humidity?

I'm a big fan of bean bags.
However, I would like to make my own washable set. Any idea how? If please email by contacting my blog contact page at http://ecrp.1om.ca/

What filling did you use in your bags? I am making an alphabet set for Christmas and am having difficulty deciding what I want to use... I am leaning towards rice...

Hi Carissa,

The bean bags are filled with beans. It's been over a year now since I made them and they're still in fine condition!
