Dreamcatcher

I'm putting together our Continent Boxes and I really wanted a dreamcatcher for our North America box. They are easy to find in parts of the US and I found some really lovely ones on Etsy, but in the end I decided to make my own using this tutorial.

(Please ignore the dirty-looking window :) We are in the midst of a Tropical Storm and it's blowing everything around!)

I found this to be such a relaxing and meaningful craft to do. I have a bit of Souix & Chippewa running through my blood and it felt really good to connect with that.

Linking up to Creative Friday.

Awesome! I've wanted to make a dream catcher for while now, so this will help me get started. I think this a great time to do it, as we will be studying the Pilgrims and the Native Americans this month. Thanks!

That is so beautiful. I actually have a small one sitting here waiting to go into your package(which one day I will send!!)but yours is much much nicer.
Let me know if there are any other specific N. American things you would like and I'll get them for you.

Mari-Ann,
You did a great job!
I made one with my dd a few months ago - of course it had to be pink LOL.

Those pretzils look scrumptious. When I lived in Miami we enjoyed a special evening with all my friends making dream catchers. I have mine on my wall, yours is lovely. Jeanene.

Ilove your website, it's very interesting and I think is very importan for children to do new creative things, and Montessori's recomendations are very useful for them, they can learn colours, numbers, letters, and is not necesary to go so fast, is step by step, it's the time to do it, so thank you for teach me someting else... Thanks!!!
