Buddha Board

I found this awesome thing for James...it's a Buddha Board! You "paint" on it with water and when the water dries (which takes a while) you're ready to paint some more.

James thought it was pretty cool and it's actually really therapeutic. I find myself playing with it when James isn't even around! The only downside to it is that it's really easy to scratch. James simply ran his fingers over the board and left little claw marks on the paper. (Ok, so his fingernails were like razor blades and needed to be cut, but still...)

where did you find these? I recently found this in a gift shop on our trip to China town in Vancouver, but it was outrageously expensive - $80. Would love to get it if I can find it somewhere cheap.

Did you get the original or sleek laptop model? I like the true zen look of the original, but am wondering it the laptop model is more practical since it's easier to transport. Do you actually take it places or use it only at home?

Any thoughts one way or the other?

@Mommy...: The link to where I purchased it is in the post. :)

@Cyndi-ella: I'm not sure which model I purchased as I picked it up about 2 years ago. Perhaps it was the original since it was so long ago? We've only used it at home.
