Beeswax Ornaments

Oh how I LOVE beeswax!! The color, the texture, and the heavenly smell of it... I can't help but smile whenever I see it.

Months ago I purchased some beeswax and moulds from Donni, owner of the lovely Etsy shop, Fairyfolk, and author of my favorite blog, The Magic Onions. It wasn't until last week that I finally put all this good stuff to use. Click here to read the how-to post I followed.

Waiting excitedly for it to melt in my make-shift baine-marie

Pouring the wax into the moulds

Waiting for it to solidify

Voila! Natural beauty! The best part of these ornaments is that when the sun hits them through the window, the wax warms and the sweet, subtle scent of honey fills the air!

James loved the little walnut and acorns. :)

Wow, that looks so wonderful. Too bad even the slightest smell of beeswax gives me a real bad headache! I am SO sensitive to smells :(

At least I can enjoy them via your blog!

Smiles & hugs...

P.S. I am not sure if you listen to music CD's with James, but tomorrow I am posting about our favorite CD in my Montessori post! We love music and so we are also giving one away!

You sweet ladies, thank you for your comments!

Jody - that's such a bummer about your sensitivity to smells!! James and I DO enjoy music CD's - our favorites are from the Putamayo Kids series. I'll be sure to check out your post, thanks! :)

Ech I remember how hard it was to finally meet someone you like and then they'd move away. So hard to meet people there. Well at least you DID meet and you have this time together. I can just imagine how wonderful that beeswax must smell!
