A Sneak Peek

Hi there! No, I'm not officially back from my bloggy break, I'm just popping in for a quick post to share this little sneak peek with you...

~giggle-squeal! oh how I LOVE organizing!!~

I just unpacked all of these lovely jars last night and was beside myself with excitement over how pretty they looked all lined up waiting for me! :) This is how I store all of my loose items (manipulatives, counters, things for sorting and sensory tubs). I've been using glass jars and plastic containers to organize my materials for quite some time now and I've found them to be the BEST way to keep those little things contained. I will, of course, be writing a more in-depth post later about how I organize all of our school supplies.

I can't believe I've been away from this space for over a month! I've been soooo busy... unpacking and settling into our new home, creating our classroom and planning our first couple of weeks of school (we start next week! Yay!!), preparing themes for the weekly playgroup I volunteered to run, and taking care of my sweet husband who was injured and had to have surgery last week. All that on top of my usual housekeeper/cook/chauffeur/mommy role. Things are still a bit chaotic so it'll be a bit longer before I begin posting regularly again.

Hope you're all doing well! :)

~Thank you for your comments!~

I love using jars for organizing our stuff too! I'm planning on doing a thrift store excursion to look for old jars one day because I think the look of all the different jars would be so neat!

How do you wash your jars though? I've been experiencing lingering smells, I have a whole jar full of garlic smelling gems, lol!

I love the way all of your sensory bin materials look in those glass jars (and wow, do great minds think alike or what?). It's so good to have you (almost) back from your blogging break. Sounds like you've definitely been busy (and you forgot to mention "fending off hurricanes" from your list)! Wishing your husband a smooth recovery, and looking forward to your return to blogging!

Yay for pictures to answer my question! This is a million times better than my idea, and a million times better than what I thought you meant! Thank you so much!

By the way, my fall sensory bin is put together and now I can't get my 3 year old to go to bed! :)

Oh, how I wish I loved to organize. But I'm trying. I do have the same kind of line-up of little jars and I've been collecting Jif peanut-butter jars for a long time. They look cute, clear with red lids, and big enough for some bigger things like scissors and craft punches. I've missed your inspiring posts but you must be enjoying your time. Can't wait for a peek into the new space and new school time.

I love using jars to organize my pantry, but I have not used them outside of the kitchen. I think I need to start organizing our art supplies this way too. It looks so "inviting"!

Glad your settling in good. Can't wait for more posts!

Stopped by to let you know you've been nominated for Most Creative Blogger in the Who's WHO in 1020 for 2011 blog event on www.parkerpronline.com - judging by those jars - I can see why. :)
